Five success stories during Bayern Munich’s successful domestic campaign.

Bayern Munich enjoyed a successful domestic campaign despite going through a difficult phase at the start of the season. The club ended the domestic season by retaining the domestic double, with the latest trophy coming against Bayer Leverkusen in DFB Pokal final on Saturday.

In the Bundesliga, it was a tough start under Niko Kovac which eventually lead to his departure. The Croatian manager parted ways with the club in November. Hansi Flick took over the role, initially as a caretaker manager, then interim manager and eventually earned a two-year contract.

Flick got things right straight away with a good winning run till the end of November. As a consequence of this long run of victories, Die Roten clinched their eighth successive Bundesliga title. Along with the genius of Flick during this run, there have been some fine success stories in the first team. Here are five success stories that propelled Bayern to a domestic double for a second consecutive season.
