Honorable Mentions for Bayern Munich

Robert Lewandowski had a man of the match performance with two goals and an assist. It’s always great to see his work rate get rewarded on the pitch with goals, and this match is an example of that. He often ran back into the midfield to help support them, and then set up wingers down the field.

The Polish striker will not be able to break Gerd Muller’s record of scoring 40 goals in a single Bundesliga campaign, but this will remain one of the best individual seasons for a forward. He will be looking to go past 35 goal mark on the final matchday, needing two goals in the final league game of the season.

Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich are in world-class form right now. They are capable of dominating any team in the center of the park. Goretzka provides the toughness, while Kimmich dictates the tempo of the game. Kimmich’s passing range is second to none. He also found himself on the scoresheet with a well-taken goal in the first half.

Jerome Boateng should be up for consideration for the most improved player on this team. His form right now is vital to the team. The German has locked down his position on the backline. It will be interesting to see how his future plays out since Boateng deserves to play regularly.
