Takeaways as Bayern Munich become Bundesliga Champions at Bremen
Sound squad planning proves a major factor for Bayern Munich
Over the past few years, Bayern’s new sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidzic has been the architect of the current roster and where it will be for the future. One could say his job performance has been quite impressive. Building a squad is incredibly difficult, but Brazzo has done it spectacularly. He has been slowly phasing out the older players who are retiring and replacing them with young, high-quality players.
When Mats Hummels went back to Borussia Dortmund, he was replaced with Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez. Pavard has been a staple at right-back. Although Hernandez has suffered from injuries, he has shown tons of potential and should be a great player for the years to come. As stated above, he has replaced Ribery and Robben with Coman and Gnabry, and hopefully, Sane will further add quality in that position.

Alphonso Davies was brought in from MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps to be a winger, but he has transformed himself to become one of the world’s best-left backs. All of this combined with his work on the FC Bayern II squad who are currently in the promotion zone in the third tier of German football, one year after promotion from the fourth tier. Several teenagers are very close to breaking into the first team from the youth ranks, which is very promising for the future of Bayern Munich.
Bayern just won their eighth straight Bundesliga title. With the squad planning currently happening under Salihamidzic, they look to continue that streak for the years to come. With Flick getting the tune of the squad, this team can achieve a lot of success in the coming years. This team has the potential to be a European force for years to come, and credit for that goes to the bosses and specifically Brazzo.
