Three key battles to watch when Bayern Munich host Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Bundesliga season approaching conclusion as Bayern Munich looks certain to retain the title. The German giants need two more victories to seal the victory. Fresh from booking a place in DFB Pokal final with a win against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday, Die Roten host Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga.

Die Roten come into this game on the back of ten consecutive Bundesliga wins, five since the resumption of football in May. Rekordmeister clinched a comfortable win against Bayer Leverkusen last weekend to further show why they are the best team in Germany.

Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach is chasing European football for next season. Marco Rose’s men have endured indifferent form since football resumed but still find themselves fourth in the league table. They travel to Allianz Arena on the back of a 1-0 defeat against Freiburg.

Rose had won the tactical battle against Hansi Flick when these two sides met at Borussia Park in December. The visitors play some of the best football in Germany, so Die Roten will have their work cut out to get all three points on Saturday. Apart from the intriguing tactical duel between two managers, these three individual battles on the pitch will have a big influence on the outcome of the game.
