DFB Pokal action for Bayern Munich

Apart from Bundesliga, Die Roten is also in a strong position to retain the DFB Pokal. The club has a chance to do a domestic for the second consecutive season. DFB Pokal is set to return in the second week of June.

Bayern had to work hard to book a place in the semi-finals of the domestic cup competition. Joshua Kimmich scored the solitary goal against Schalke in quarterfinals before football was indefinitely suspended. The Bavarians will be traveling to Eintracht Frankfurt in semi-finals on June 11.

Frankfurt will be a tricky opposition for Die Roten despite their recent 5-2 win in the Bundesliga. The hosts had stunned Rekordmeister with a 5-1 defeat in the league during Hinrunde. Flick will have to be tactical astute in this game as knockout fixtures have the potential of springing a surprise result.

The winners of two semi-finals will be contesting for the final at the start of July. Along with maintaining a winning run in the Bundesliga, Die Roten will be expected to progress in the cup competition. Bayern fans have enjoyed the return of Bundesliga, raising their expectations for the return of DFB Pokal this month.
