Benjamin Pavard- Mr. Consistent for Bayern Munich

Davies takes all the spotlight when fans are discussing Die Roten’s full-backs. However, Benjamin Pavard has been as consistent as the young Canadian full-back. The French international was at his best during May.

Against Union Berlin, he scored the vital goal from a corner. The Frenchman has been an important player for Die Roten during set-piece routines as he often finds himself in exceptionally good positions. Moreover, he doesn’t hesitate to take shots from distance as he has a very solid striking technique, making him a very good goal threat.

Pavard also has a good mix of caution and aggression in his game. In the games against Union Berlin, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Fortuna Dusseldorf, he constantly made good runs on the right flank. He contributed with two goals in these three games. However, when Dortmund was threatening in the final third, Pavard held his position and formed a back three to help the defenders.

Die Roten reportedly wants to buy a right-back for next season since Pavard sees himself as a center-back than a full-back. However, his consistent performances are going to make it difficult for the new signing. With an explosive full-back on the left side, Pavard provides the balance on the right side. It could be a long time before Bavarians may see the Frenchman playing in central defense.
