No heavy squad rotation for Bayern Munich

Flick continues to be reluctant about making big changes to the team, even during a hectic schedule. However, one can hardly blame him for sticking with the winning formula when the margin for error has been very less.

The German manager was forced to make changes in the second due to the fitness problems of Serge Gnabry and Thiago. He brought in Kingsley Coman and Ivan Perisic in the team. Apart from these changes, Flick has been hesitant with making wholesale changes, even from the bench.

The decision to stick with a consistent team has its pros and cons. With a stable team, there is good coordination and chemistry between players, and the performances do not fluctuate from one extreme to another. However, playing many games in a short period of time can lead to several injuries.

There are six more games left in the league. Flick is unlikely to make changes in the next three games, as he will be looking to wrap up the league. After sealing the title, the German manager should try to give more playing time to younger players. The confidence of young players such as Mickael Cuisance and Joshua Zirkzee will be boosted by starting a couple of Bundesliga games.
