Honorable Mentions for Bayern Munich

Manuel Neuer looks like the best goalkeeper in the world at the moment. And that isn’t just because the Bundesliga is the only league playing right now. His keeper sweeper abilities were on full display in this match, and he continues to boss the entire box.

Neuer can win games single-handedly. The German didn’t have to make many big saves against Frankfurt, but his positioning and decision making made his work easy on numerous occasions. He is a great captain, and Bayern will be happy to have him for the next three years.

Hansi Flick rotated the starting XI to perfection in this game. They were made with the Dortmund match in mind, but it was great to see other players play well in relief. This will give Flick the confidence to rely on them in the future. Moreover, proper rotation also helps in avoiding injuries that are caused due to fatigue.

Mickael Cuisance continues to get very little minutes, but he took advantage of those in this match. Flick brought him on the pitch for Joshua Kimmich for the final five minutes. In this small cameo, he made smart passes and moved the team down the field. He also had a great shot on the goal. It was off target, but it was nice to see him try something offensive in his little playing time.
