Bayern Munich set to host Eintracht Frankfurt in matchday 27 of Bundesliga.

It was a successful return to the action for Bayern Munich after a two-month break due to coronavirus pandemic. The defending Bundesliga champions delivered a professional display to clinch a 2-0 win against Union Berlin. Football will return to Allianz Arena this weekend as Die Roten host Eintracht Frankfurt.

Rekordmeister were not at their best last weekend, struggling to get back to the rhythm that they showed before the break. There were too many misplaced passes and occasional defensive lapses, but they showed enough resilience to complete a comfortable victory.

Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt had the worst possible start after a long break. They suffered a heavy 3-1 defeat against Borussia Monchengladbach at home. They struggled in every department across the pitch against Monchengladbach.

The game against Frankfurt during Hinrunde was the last fixture managed by Niko Kovac. The Croatian left Die Roten after an embarrassing 5-1 defeat against his former club. Since that game in Frankfurt, things have changed significantly for both sides. With a long winning run behind them, Bayern will be looking to avenge the big defeat they suffered during the first half of the season.
