FWD, Thomas Muller— 7/10

Fresh from signing a new deal at the club, Muller continued to show why the club was eager to secure his future. The German forward kept on making clever runs throughout the first half to open spaces for other forwards. He almost got the team’s first goal by poking the ball into the net from close range, only to be ruled out for offside. Muller became even more influential when he moved in central position after Coman’s introduction. Like every other player, his passing was below average, but he still managed to be the most effective player in the final third.

FWD, Serge Gnabry — 6/10

A quiet outing for Gnabry. The German winger drifted in and out of the game throughout his 85-minute long stay on the pitch. He found himself in good positions but took a long time to pull the trigger. His linkup play was also off the mark, often giving away the ball due to the poor execution of simple passes. Came agonizingly close to score the second goal of the team late in the game when Coman delivered an inch-perfect cross in the box.
