Robert Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski has been the best number nine in Europe this season. The Polish striker had scored 40 goals across all competitions by the end of February. After suffering an injury against Chelsea, Lewandowski missed two league games and one cup game. He was set to be out for four-five weeks due to this injury.

The suspension of football came at the right time for Lewandowski. The Pole needed this break as he has been playing every game for Die Roten. In the past two months, he has completed his recovery and trained with the first team since training at Sabner Strasse resumed in April.

Lewandowski will be fresh and completely fit for the game against Union Berlin. The break will have helped him to recharge his batteries, helping him to continue his outstanding season. It will not be a surprise that a well-rested Lewandowski scores goals from the word go.

The Poland international has been a talisman for Die Roten this season. He carried the team with his goals during the first half of the season when things were not clicking for the squad. A win is necessary on Sunday, so one can except to Lewandowski to come up with goods and lead the team to a convincing victory.
