Four things to watch out for Bayern Munich this weekend as they restart the Bundesliga campaign.

The Bundesliga is finally back after ten weeks of hiatus due to coronavirus pandemic. It will become the first big league to resume football since the start of March. The German government gave the green light last week, so DFL decided to resume Bundesliga from May 15. Bayern Munich is set to travel away to the German capital to face Union Berlin on Sunday.

French League has already been abandoned for the season, so the rest of the top leagues will be keeping a close eye on Bundesliga as they try to play out all the games in the next four-five weeks. A busy schedule means that there will be consistent mid-week games.

Things have significantly changed for Die Roten in the past couple of months. The club has decided to appoint Hansi Flick as their permanent manager. The German penned a two-year deal at the start of April. It was a bold move since few top managers are likely to be available at the end of this campaign.

Apart from Flick, the club has also secured the long-term futures of Thomas Muller and Alphonso Davies. With these changes and many more circumstances in which football is set to be played this week, here are five things to look out from Bayern’s perspective in the gameweek 26.
