Bayern Munich has enjoyed a great run in Ruckrunde, courtesy of stellar performances of three players.

The 2019/20 season didn’t start in the best possible way for Bayern Munich. Along with dropping points in the first matchday of the Bundesliga against Hertha Berlin, Die Roten also suffered a 2-0 defeat against Borussia Dortmund in DFL Supercup in August.

Apart from few standout performances in the Champions League, Rekordmeister continued to struggle under Niko Kovac. The Croatian eventually parted ways with the club after the club suffered a humiliating 5-1 defeat away at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.

Hansi Flick took over the reins from Kovac and steadied the ship for Bayern. The performances remained inconsistent during November and December, but the team was grinding out victories. The club trusted to keep faith in Flick and gave him the interim role.

Bayern responded in the best possible manner after the winter break. The defending Bundesliga Champions are yet to lose a game across all competitions in 2020. Performances have drastically improved as Die Roten registered big wins in the Bundesliga.

This upturn in form helped Flick to get the managerial job permanently. Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry have been doing the scoring, but here are other three key players that have played a big role in Bayern’s superb run in Ruckrunde.
