Coutinho’s beautiful against Werder Bremen

Bayern Munich had suffered two consecutive defeats against Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen in matchday 12 and 13, respectively. The team needed a big performance against Werder Bremen at Allianz Arena.

Die Roten went behind in the game but responded strongly and won the game comfortably by scoring six goals. Philippe Coutinho was the star of the game as he clinched his first hattrick in the Bayern shirt. All three goals from the Brazilian were impressive, but his second goal was the best of the lot.

David Alaba played a pinpoint accurate ball to Coutinho, who made a run in the box from the central area. The Brazilian took a great touch to bring the ball down. Instead of blasting it past Jiri Pavlenka, the Brazilian dinked it past the keeper. The dink rose higher than expected, but it still comfortably ended up in the goal, and Pavlenka’s last-ditch run could not stop it.

There was a sense of arrogance from the Brazilian playmaker while scoring the goal. He managed to show great awareness and finesse to score this goal rather than taking a chance by striking the ball from a difficult angle. It is a shame that Coutinho has not been consistent this season, but this game and his second goal epitomized the amount of talent he possesses.
