Five pivotal games of the season for Bayern Munich, where result and context had a big role to play throughout the campaign.

Bayern Munich were cruising in all competitions before the competitive football was halted due to coronavirus pandemic. The Bavarians were in a good position to progress in the cup competitions, and they were also leading in the Bundesliga title race.

Things were moving in the right direction for Die Roten, but this has not been the case throughout the campaign. The club went through a difficult phase where results were not consistent, and their performances on the pitch were scrutinized.

The second half of the season has been smooth sailing for Rekordmeister. However, the first half of the campaign was a roller-coaster, where the club enjoyed some extraordinary highs and demoralising lows. Along with results, the playing style has also gone through a drastic transformation throughout the campaign.

DFL hopes to resume Bundesliga in May, but it looks like wishful thinking at the moment. Since football is unlikely to resume anytime soon due to coronavirus, it is the right time to look at Die Roten’s journey this season. Here are five pivotal games of Bayern’s campaign till now.
