Hansi Flick has done a good job at Bayern Munich, but these three things have made sure that he gets the job permanently.

Bayern Munich has been struggling to stick with a single manager for at least two seasons since Pep Guardiola’s departure in 2016. Carlo Ancelotti and Niko Kovac lasted at the club for 18 months despite winning silverware during their debut campaigns.

After winning the domestic double last season, Kovac had an inconsistent start to his second season in Bavaria. Die Roten did deliver big performances at the start of the campaign, but results and performances were inconsistent. The Croatian parted ways with the club in November, and Hansi Flick was handed the reigns of the first team.

Flick went from caretaker manager to interim manager in the space of a few weeks after Kovac’s dismissal. The German manager’s impressive work on and off the pitch has put him in the driver’s seat to become the permanent manager of Bayern Munich.

Bayern’s hierarchy and German media have been hinting that Flick’s appointment is a matter of when rather than if. Based on his work in the last four months, Flick deserves the job, but it is essential to look at factors contributing to this scenario.
