Manchester United had unearthed another jewel from their famous youth academy when Adnan Januzaj made an instant impact on the first team during the 2013/14 season. Since that season, it has been a downward spiral for the Belgian winger as he couldn’t replicate exploits of his debut season.

After leaving United two years ago, Januzaj has slowly got back to his best at Real Sociedad. His performances at club level have also made him a regular member of the Belgian National team. The 25-year-old had to deal with few injuries this season, but his output in limited playing time has been impressive.

Januzaj can operate as a number ten and right attacking forward in any formation. The Belgian has a great eye for a cutting pass in the final third. He also has a good knack of scoring spectacular goals. With his guile on and off the ball, Januzaj can help in breaking down the most stubborn defense.

The former Man Utd forward will be a backup option for Havertz than Sane. United do have a buy-back option on Januzaj, but they are unlikely to exercise due to the amount of attacking talent in the squad. Die Roten can increase the depth and quality of their squad by snapping up the Belgian for a much lower fee than Havertz.
