Kingsley Coman getting playing time ahead of the game against Chelsea

Bayern received good news last week on the injury front as Kingsley Coman returned to first-team training. The French winger suffered a minor injury against Chelsea in the first leg. He didn’t manage to score or assist in that game, but troubled Chelsea’s defense by dribbling and keeping the width on one flank.

Coman is entering the crucial phase of his career at Bayern. The French international has been struggling with injuries, but the club has stood by him during this tough phase. It is time for the winger to step up and start delivering performances in big games.

Flick may look to get Coman back in some sort of match rhythm on Sunday ahead of the clash against Chelsea next week. The Frenchman needs as many minutes under his belt to get to an optimum level ahead of big games in March.

Bayern need their big players to step up now if they want to bring the Champions League trophy back to Allianz Arena. Coman is a vital part of Die Roten’s attack despite being frustrating at times with his end product in the final third. The game against Union Berlin could be the ideal opportunity for him to prove his fitness and get back to his best.
