Fan reaction at Allianz Arena

Bayern were ruthless against Hoffenheim as they were eager to score as many goals possible. However, the perfect performance from the team was overshadowed by the protests from Bayern’s away fans against Dietmar Hoff.

The referee had to temporarily suspend the game in the second half as the away fans held an abusive banner against Hoffenheim’s owner. After 15 minutes of suspension, the game was resumed, but both sets of players didn’t compete against each other. They kept on passing around the ball to see out the final quarter of the game.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge condemned the away fans and urged DFB to take strict action against such fans. Meanwhile, one of the ultra-groups issued a statement saying that there is nothing wrong in holding such banners as Bundesliga fans have been doing that throughout the season.

This will be Bayern’s first home game since the incident in Hoffenheim. The club and fans share different opinions on this situation, so the reaction of the home crowd will be one to watch out on Sunday. It is not a pleasant scene to watch fans and the club clashing over one issue, but both sides have reasonable arguments for their stance. Bayern will be hoping that their performance doesn’t get affected on the pitch irrespective of what is happening in the stands.
