Willian Jose

Willian Jose was one of the most in-demand strikers during the winter transfer window. The Brazilian striker was linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester United, but both moves failed to materialize.

The 28-year-old striker has a decent record in La Liga over the past four seasons. He has been a key player for Real Sociedad, scoring 53 goals in 135 appearances across all competitions. He has managed to find the back of the net eight times this season. (Stats courtesy- Transfermarkt)

Jose is a target man, who works hard in the final third, and chases every second ball. He is very effective when the team is using a direct approach, releasing long balls from the back to beat the midfield press. His combination play in the box is one of his strongest aspects, but he is not exactly prolific in front of the goal.

The Brazilian striker can provide something different for Bayern from the bench. He can be a nuisance in the box and help the team in digging deep when things are not going their way. The 28-year-old striker has a release clause of 70 million at Sociedad, but the Spanish club may be open to negotiating down the transfer fee. Die Roten is unlikely to spend big on a striker, but in Jose, they will get a good target man that will further boost the quality of their squad.
