Luka Jovic

Luka Jovic cannot be exactly considered as a backup striker option since he is only 22-year-old. The Serbian striker was one of the best forwards in Europe last season. He managed to find the back of the net 27 times last season, with 17 goals coming in the Bundesliga. His prolific goalscoring season with Eintracht Frankfurt earned him a move to Real Madrid last summer. (Stats Courtesy- Transfermarkt)

However, things have not gone the way Jovic would have expected after a move to Los Blancos. He has struggled to get into the starting lineup at Santiago Bernabeu as he has managed to get only eight starts across all competitions. The Serbian was not even part of the matchday squad of the team that featured against Barcelona on Sunday.

Jovic is devoid of confidence, struggling to make an impact in the limited games he is getting. A move back to Bundesliga will help him to get back to his best. The 22-year-old striker knows the league inside out, so there will be no adaption problem too.

Bayern will get a very solid striking option in Jovic. Die Roten have a strong relationship with Real Madrid, so a loan deal with an option to buy can surely be agreed. Since Jovic is not getting a considerable amount of playing time in Madrid, he is likely to be happy to share game time with Lewandowski in Munich. If he manages to impress during the loan spell, then Bayern may end up having the long-term replacement of Lewandowski.
