Bayern Munich will travel away to FC Schalke in the quarterfinals of the DFB Pokal on Tuesday.

Despite the issues off the pitch on Saturday, it has been a good few days for Bayern Munich. The defending Bundesliga champions have taken a giant step towards quarterfinals of the Champions League, and remain on course to defend their league title.

Die Roten will turn their attention to DFB Pokal as they face FC Schalke on Tuesday. Bayern will come into this game on the back of an impressive 6-0 win against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga. The current cup holders can book their spot in the semi-finals of the competition by winning this game.

Hansi Flick has not put a foot wrong in Ruckrunde as Bayern are currently enjoying a two-month-long unbeaten run. Along with getting the favourable results, Flick has got the team playing some impressive football.

Schalke, meanwhile, are experiencing a disappointing campaign by their standards. They are sixth in the Bundesliga, but they remain eight points behind a possible Champions League position. It will take a special effort from them to qualify for CL next season. However, their cup run has been impressive till now, so it will be a tricky game for Rekordmeister on Tuesday at Veltins Arena.
