Verdict

Overall, after seeing the arguments for and against Flick being appointed as the permanent manager, the club will be better served by playing the waiting game. Flick will be itching to get this job, but he still needs to prove whether he is the ideal person for this role.

Moreover, many strong managerial candidates will be available in summer, so there is no reason to make a decision so quickly. It is important to see how the team responds to a rough patch of form under Flick and how he gets the team out of such a situation.
