Should Bayern Munich appoint Hansi Flick as permanent manager?
Argument for Flick
Bayern decided to appoint Flick as caretaker manager when Niko Kovac left the club at the start of November. Flick was supposed to manage games against Olympiakos and Borussia Dortmund in that week. The club hierarchy was set to mull over the new manager during the international break after these two games.
Flick exceeded expectations as Die Roten won both games comfortably, and he was given time till Christmas. Results continued to tilt in Bayern’s favour, and he landed the interim job. The German team continues to shine under the German manager after the winter break.
In a short space of time, Flick has shown his managerial qualities to an extent. He got players on his side and made every player feel important even when they were not playing regularly. His man-management has impressed the dressing room as players leave no opportunity to praise him publicly.
The tactical side of his coaching has also been solid as he has clinched two big victories against Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund in the last four months. Die Roten are working hard on the pitch, and there is a swagger in the way they are dismantling weaker oppositions. Flick ticks every box for a competent manager, so it is a no brainer for Bayern to stick with him. Why repair something which is not broken?
