Should Bayern Munich appoint Hansi Flick as permanent manager?

Bayern Munich have a big decision to make about Hansi Flick’s future at the end of the season.

After a mixed 2019, Bayern Munich have started 2020 with a bang. The defending Bundesliga champions have been at their best across all competitions in Ruckrunde. Die Roten are yet to lose a game in the past two months.

Rekordmeister were lagging in the title race by four points at the end of December as RB Leipzig ended Hinrunde at the top of the table. Similar to last season, Bayern have once again shown that they are champions for a reason, erasing the deficit in the last six weeks and leading the table by one point.

The Bavarians have also progressed to the next round of DFB Pokal by clinching a narrow 4-3 win over Hoffenheim at Allianz Arena. Earlier this week, they resumed Champions League football with a dominating 3-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of the round of 16 tie.

Hansi Flick deserves a lot of credit for the turnaround in the fortunes of the team. After the win over Chelsea, there have been reports in Germany suggesting that Flick could be handed the permanent role in summer. Let us have a look at the pros and cons of appointing Flick as the head coach permanently.
