Injury issues easing out

Bayern has been unlucky with injuries in the past few seasons. The Bundesliga champions have been without important players for knockout games due to injury. This season has not been different when the number of injuries is considered.

However, there is light at the end of the tunnel for Die Roten. Ahead of their game against Chelsea, Bayern will have the majority of injured players fit. Lucas Hernandez and Kingsley Coman have recovered from their serious injuries to be in line to start against the English side.

Javi Martinez is also closing on a return after missing six weeks due to a muscle injury. Ivan Perisic should be fit for the next round of CL games provided Die Roten beat Chelsea in the round of 16. Flick will have to be careful with his rotation, making sure that players don’t succumb to muscle injuries due to fatigue.

At the moment, Niklas Sule is the only long term absentee for Bayern. Since the injury issues are easing out for Die Roten, Flick will have a strong squad to play in European games. More options lead to healthy competition and help in getting the best out of every player.
