Bayern Munich have many reasons to be confident about having a deep run in the Champions League.

The Champions League football was back last week. Top European clubs will play each other in the round of 16. Bayern Munich is set to face Chelsea in this round. The first game of this tie will take place at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

It has been difficult and agonizing six years for Die Roten in Europe’s premier competition. Since winning the trophy in 2013, Bayern has not made it to the finals of the CL. Last year was the lowest point for Bayern in their long wait for the CL trophy. They were knocked out of the competition by Liverpool in the round of 16.

Things have not gone in Bayern’s favour over the years, but the 2019/2020 campaign could be a big year for the club in the Champions League. There are enough positive signs for Die Roten fans to be optimistic about having a good chance of bringing the trophy back to the Allianz Arena. Here are five reasons why Bayern are on the right track to do well in the Champions League this year.
