Bayern Munich must strive to deal with the attacking threat from the wings when the league leaders host Paderborn in their next Bundesliga fixture

Bayern capped off another impressive performance by clinching a comfortable victory against a rejuvenated FC Cologne last weekend. The Bavarians clung to their position as the league leaders. Hansi Flick’s side dominated the match from the onset and hardly gave Cologne a chance to score the goal on their home soil.

Meanwhile, Paderborn suffered a 2-1 defeat against Hertha Berlin last week. Despite a poor start to the Ruckrunde campaign, Paderborn have delivered solid results in their away fixtures. Paderborn won 2-0 against Freiburg away from home at the end of January. Earlier this season, they also managed to hold Schalke for a 1-1 draw at the Veltins Arena. Steffen Baumgart will aim to achieve a similar result when they travel to Munich in matchday 23.

Bayern returned victorious when they traveled to the Benteler Arena in matchday six. Die Roten edged Paderborn by three goals to two. Bayern dominated the match but failed to capitalize on their chances. Here is a brief explanation of the tactical scenario from their previous fixture. This will be followed by an expected tactical framework that could be observed in matchday 23 of the Bundesliga.
