Top five Bayern Munich midfielders of the century
Mark Van Bommel
Any potential midfield list for Bayern Munich is incomplete with Mark Van Bommel. The Dutchman is the best foreign midfielder for Die Roten. Van Bommel was also the first non-German player to lead Bayern Munich.
Van Bommel provided the right shielding to defense. He broke play with ease and did simple things with perfection as a number six. The Dutchman also had a very good passing range as he would spray passes from the deep to find an attacking player.
