Move Davies to the left flank

After seeing formation options and fringe players, there is a solution to this problem in the current lineup. Since Hernandez is completely fit now, Flick can move David Alaba to the left-back position and play Davies higher up the pitch.

Davies has been a revelation for Bayern this season. In the last three months, he has excelled in the left-back role. He is dominating duels in defense, but more importantly, his game in the final third is improving every game.

The Canadian winger can create chances by delivering pinpoint crosses in this box. He can stretch the defenses through his runs in the channels. Davies is also tidy on the ball as he rarely loses possession even when he finds himself in tight situations.

Flick can use Davies’ attacking prowess in his preferred position. The 19-year-old winger will play on the left flank, while Serge Gnabry will play on the right side of the attack. Flick will get the much-needed consistency in his system if he decides to go down this route. Davies will also like this positional change as he wants to prove himself in his favoured position.
