Give Joshua Zirkzee more playing time

Instead of changing formations, Hansi Flick could also make a change in personnel to fill in for Perisic. The German manager should look to give more playing time to Joshua Zirkzee and use him as an inside forward.

Zirkzee was a Bavarian hero at the end of 2019 as he effectively scored winners against Freiburg and Wolfsburg. These victories acted as a springboard for Bayern to go on a six-game winning run, helping them to regain the top spot in the Bundesliga.

Since these two cameos, Zirkzee is yet to play a league game for Die Roten. The Dutch forward has been on the bench for every league game in Ruckrunde, though. It is time for Flick to show trust in him and give him more minutes after showing such a great impact during his initial games.

Zirkzee is a pure central forward, but he has the pace to burn, so he can surely play on the left-flank. Moreover, this positional change will also help him in becoming a much more complete forward. Die Roten will be able to plug in the gap in their lineup, and this experience will also make Zirkzee a much better player.
