Pack the midfield

Bayern currently has a range of variety in central midfield. There is depth and quality in this department, so why not unleash them together. Flick should effectively pack the midfield and try to use a diamond in the next few games.

Joshua Kimmich will play the role of holding midfielder, while Thiago Alcantara and Corentin Tolisso can be dynamic number eights. Leon Goretzka, Thomas Muller, and Philippe Coutinho are the candidates for the number ten positions. Mickael Cuisance is another player that can play as number eight or number ten.

In the attack, Serge Gnabry and Robert Lewandowski will form the partnership and run in the channels to create space for the number ten and the full-backs. Die Roten will have numerical superiority in the midfield, which will help to easily dominate the opposition.

The only drawback of this formation will be the lack of width due to the absence of pure wingers. To compensate for this limitation, the likes of Benjamin Pavard and Alphonso Davies can be pushed further up the pitch to pin the full-back.

Die Roten have the perfect candidate for every midfield profile, so the execution of duties from midfielders will not be a problem.
