Key battles as Bayern Munich host RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga

Robert Lewandowski vs Dayot Upamecano

Last but not the least, a crucial duel between a striker and a defender. Robert Lewandowski has been the best striker in Europe this season. He has continued his Hinrunde form in 2020, scoring goals for fun and in almost every game.

The Polish striker is Bayern’s talisman in the attack, so he will have a big role to play on Sunday. With the growing support from attacking players on the pitch, facing Lewandowski is an even more frightening prospect.

However, RB Leipzig has the ideal defender to keep Lewandowski quiet. Dayot Upamecano is one of the best young defenders in Europe this season. The Frenchman is robust enough to bully any forward. He also has the pace to match top strikers on the counter.

Lewandowski has been unsettling defenses for fun this season, so I am most excited about seeing his duel against Upamecano. The Frenchman will be looking to ruffle some feathers by going strong in aerial and 50-50 duels at the start of the game. Whoever wins this battle is likely to lead his team to victory.
