Bayern Munich will play their first cup game of the year against Hoffenheim on Wednesday.

After three gameweeks of the Bundesliga action, the focus shifts to DFB Pokal in Germany as the round of 16 games are set to be played this week. Bayern Munich will be hosting Hoffenheim after clinching a narrow victory against Bochum in the last round.

Die Roten has started 2020 in the best possible way. The defending champions have won all the three league games of the Ruckrunde till now in the most dominating fashion. These victories have helped them to claim the top position in the league. Hansi Flick has got them playing impressive football that is blowing away the teams with ease.

Meanwhile, Hoffenheim, Wednesday’s cup opponents, has been in good form during the second half of the season. They suffered defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt in the first game of the year but came back strongly against Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen. Hoffenheim will be eager to make it two wins in a row against Bayern as they clinched a 2-1 victory in the Bundesliga earlier this season.
