Bayern Munich continued their winning run in the Ruckrunde by dispatching Mainz 3-1 at the Opel Arena. Bayern got off to a hot start by scoring all three of their goals in the first 30 minutes of the game.

Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring with a beautiful header serviced by Benjamin Pavard in the 8th minute. Thomas Muller tapped in a goal in the 14th minute after a scramble in front of the goal. And then, Thiago Alcantara had the goal of the match in the 26th minute, when he received the ball at the top of the box and dribbled through the Mainz defense, slotting the ball in the far corner for the third goal.
