Kingsley Coman

With Bayern not looking to add any players to the roster over the winter transfer window, Kingsley Coman will continue to be one of Bayern’s featured wingers in the spring. His recent injury has set him back a bit, but we all know a healthy Coman can be devastating for a defense. When the fixture list gets dense, and there are several mid-week matches in a row, the rotation will be key and so will Kingsley.

The current problem with Coman is his end product whether it’s passing or shooting. In twelve Bundesliga matches, he only has one goal and one assist, and in twenty total matches across all competitions, he has four goals and three assists. For the starting winger of Bayern Munich, that is not good enough. This is incredibly frustrating as he does a great job getting past defenders with ease, finding himself in dangerous positions, but the end product is severely lacking.

For Kingsley, the improvement should be focused on his vision in the final third. Kingsley is good at just about everything else, he tracks back when needed, his footwork is incredible, and his passing is good. However, when he gets into attacking positions his head goes down, and often he won’t look up when crossing or won’t shoot when there’s a good chance. This is the area he needs to improve if he wants to succeed at Bayern.
