Bayern dominates Spurs away from home

There have been very few things to cheer in the Champions League for Bayern Munich fans over the past five years. The German club is yet to win the title since winning the historic treble in 2013. Despite all the past pain, the Bavarians start the CL campaign with the aspiration to bring the trophy back to Allianz Arena.

Die Roten have given a sense of optimism about this year’s CL campaign by winning all games in their group. The most memorable game of the group came against Tottenham Hotspurs in London. This was one of the most anticipated games of the group stage as the German champions came up against last season’s CL runners up.

Bayern went to Spurs ground and delivered one of the best performances in CL. Rekordmeister effortlessly scored seven goals against Spurs after going one goal down at the start of the first half. The visitors looked ruthless on the break and showed great composure to score from every solid chance they created.

Serge Gnabry took the plaudits as he scored four times in the game, but the whole team delivered their best CL performance of the past three seasons. The Bavarian faithful will be hoping that Die Roten maintains this form when in the knockout stages and fulfill the dream of bringing the trophy back to Germany.
