Bayern Munich 5-1 Frankfurt

Bayern just had to avoid a defeat in the final game of the Bundesliga to retain the title. They had a tricky opponent in front of them as Eintracht Frankfurt visited Allianz Arena. Die Roten were favourites to win the title, but there was very little margin for error.

Once again, Bayern players rose to the challenge and delivered a brilliant performance. In front of their home fans, Die Roten scored five goals against Frankfurt. They completed a massive turnaround in the second half of the season to clinch their seventh title in a row.

Since it was the last home game for Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, this game remains close to the heart of every Bavarian. Robben and Ribery fittingly ended their Bundesliga career by scoring against Frankfurt. A title win in their final season was the perfect way for Robben and Ribery to bring curtains on their illustrious career in Bavaria.

Kovac was also a relieved man after this win. The Croatian manager was under pressure throughout the season. There were doubts raised about his future at the club after a rough first half of the season. A title win in such adverse situations was a commendable achievement by Kovac.
