The festive period is upon us as Christmas is just a day away. Bayern Munich entered the festive period with a positive result as they clinched a 2-0 win against Wolfsburg on Saturday. The Bundesliga champions also had to dig deep to get the win against Freiburg last week.
With the help of these two victories, Bayern went into the winter break as a top-four team in the Bundesliga. They currently sit third in the league, four points behind league leaders RB Leipzig. Apart from Leipzig, Borussia Monchengladbach also have a lead of two points over Die Roten in the league table.
In the cup competitions, it has been plain sailing for Die Roten. They have reached the third round of the DFB Pokal. Rekordmeister were also clinical in the Champions League as they won the group by winning all six games.
