Left-back— David Alaba

The first outfield player to be named on this team is none other than David Alaba. The Austrian defender has come through Bayern’s youth academy and firmly established himself as one of the best full-backs in the world.

Alaba came into the first team at a very young age. He showed maturity beyond his age and played an important role in Bayern’s success throughout the past decade. Alaba is a traditional full-back that is solid defensively and adventurous in the final third.

The Austrian defender has shown a great degree of versatility at Bayern. Under Pep Guardiola, he was often deployed as a center-back. He showed immense composure on the ball and brought the ball out of defense with ease. Apart from his defending and attacking abilities, Alaba has also been a set-piece specialist at Bayern. He has scored 30 brilliant goals during his 360 appearances for Bayern till now.

Alaba is still in the prime years of his career as he will turn 28 next season. His consistency over the years makes him one of the sought after full-backs every summer. The Austrian has remained tightlipped over his future at Bayern. Die Roten needs to act quickly and secure his long term future as replacing him will cost a fortune.
