Striker— Robert Lewandowski

Bayern Munich had some pretty good strikers throughout the last ten years. However, no one comes closes to Robert Lewandowski in terms of consistency, value for the transfer fee, and longevity. Die Roten hit jackpot when they beat top European clubs to sign Lewandowski on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2014.

After an underwhelming debut season by his standard, scoring 25 goals across all competitions, Lewandowski went to become one of the best strikers Bundesliga has ever seen. In his next four seasons, the Polish striker scored at least 40 goals across all competitions.

One of the most iconic performances in this decade has been delivered by Lewandowski. He came on as a substitute against Wolfsburg in 2015 and scored five goals in nine startling minutes. The Polish striker has played a pivotal role in every Bundesliga title Bayern has won since 2014.

Lewandowski was on the verge of leaving Bayern last summer, but the club managed to keep him, and agreed to a new deal to ensure that he retires in Bavaria. He is currently enjoying the best season of his career with 30 goals across all competitions at the halfway point of the season. With 221 goals for Bayern till now and many more to come, Lewandowski will go down as one of the best players to grace the Bavarian shirt.
