Attacking midfielder—Thomas Muller

In the number ten role or raumdeuter role, there is only one stand out candidate, and that is Bayern’s academy graduate-Thomas Muller. The German international has been one of the biggest success stories of Die Roten’s youth academy.

Muller caught the globe’s attention with his performances for Germany in the 2010 World Cup. After that World Cup, he went on to become a pivotal player for club and country for years. His time with Germany may have ended abruptly, but he still has enough quality to be an important player for Bayern.

Over the years, Muller has been a selfless player, creating space for other forwards in the final third with his clever movement and runs. Apart from his footballing intelligence, Muller has always been a leader on the pitch without the armband. He has the knack of delivering his best performances when odds are stacked against the team.

Currently, there is growing uncertainty over his future at Bayern, but he is still enjoying a very good season. His efficiency in front of the goal has decreased. However, he continues to create chances for his teammates. With 190 goals for Die Roten throughout 12 seasons and numerous clutch performances, Muller will go down as one of the best players Bayern has developed.
