What should be Bayern’s starting lineup against Freiburg?

A straightforward solution lies in starting an attacker with astute skills for exploiting space. This forward should also be able to make a good contribution when the team is defending. The player that can satisfy these conditions is Thomas Muller, Bayern’s very own Raumdeuter.

Bayern should look to start in a 4-3-3. With Manual Neuer starting between the sticks, Hansi Flick shall deploy Benjamin Pavard, Jerome Boateng, David Alaba, and Alphonso Davies in defense. Joshua Kimmich must again start as the lone central-defensive midfielder.

In the attacking midfield section, Muller should be partnered with Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian forward will be hoping to kick on after delivering a splendid performance against Werder Bremen on Saturday. Serge Gnabry, Robert Lewandowski, and Ivan Perisic will form the front three. The Croatian winger also showed promising signs against Bremen.
