Dele Alli vs Joshua Kimmich

Mourinho’s arrival at Spurs has liberated Dele Alli. The English midfielder has been in tremendous form in the past four weeks. Alli has been involved in ten goals this season across all competitions. He is expected to be the key man for the English side against Bayern on Wednesday.

Alli operates just behind Harry Kane in the number ten role. The English midfielder has a tremendous work rate, making him a very dangerous attacking player. His tenacity and strong technical abilities make him dangerous in open play and set-pieces. Along with all these traits, Alli also has a great eye for goal, so on his day, he can be a nuisance for the opponent’s midfield and defense.

Bayern can nullify Alli’s influence on the game by being tighter to him in the final third. Joshua Kimmich will have a big role to play in keeping Alli quiet on Wednesday. The German international has largely played in the holding midfield role this season. Kimmich has been quiet in the past two games, so he is due a big performance.

The German will be tasked to stop passing lanes to Alli in the final third and win all the duels with the English midfielder. All big games are generally won in the midfield. The clash between Spurs and Bayern will also heavily rely on the exciting battle between Alli and Kimmich.
