Bayern Munich had a November to forget with events taking place on and off the pitch.

Bayern Munich endured a difficult November month as there were many ups and downs throughout the month. The penultimate month of 2019 ended on a sour note as Die Roten suffered their second league defeat of the season at Allianz Arena. Bayern slipped to the fourth position in Bundesliga after the defeat against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday. Here are the top moments of Rekordmeister’s eventful November.

Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 Bayern Munich

Bayern were going through a mixed run of form at the start of November. The results were in their favour, but performances remained unconvincing. A poor result was just around the corner as the trend is unlikely to continue for long.

The poor result eventually came against Eintracht Frankfurt. Niko Kovac’s former club is a formidable team at home. The game started in the worst possible manner for Bayern as Jerome Boateng was sent off for a lazy tackle near the box. From that point, the visitors couldn’t recover. Frankfurt took advantage of an extra man by taking a two-goal lead. Die Roten did manage to half the deficit before the half-time but never looked formidable enough to stage a comeback.

Frankfurt went on a ruthless streak in the second half as they hammered three goals past Manuel Neuer. It could have been even more if Frankfurt were more clinical in the final. The defeat against Frankfurt turned out to be Bayern’s worst in this decade.

Being a man down always affects a team’s performance, but Bayern looked completely toothless throughout the game and meekly surrendered to an impressive Frankfurt side. It was the type of result that further increased the pressure on Niko Kovac.
