Central Midfielder

For the box-to-box midfield role, there is no one better than Bastian Schweinsteiger. Another product of Bayern’s youth system, Schweinsteiger made his professional senior team debut in 2002 for FC Bayern.

Famously known as Fussballgott among the Bayern faithful, the German midfielder won all the major trophies that he could win at the club level in Germany. These trophies include eight league titles, seven DFB-Pokal cups, a UEFA Champions League title, a FIFA Club World Cup, and a UEFA Super Cup.

A Bayern Munich Hall of Famer, Basti was also voted the German Footballer of the Year in 2013. He has managed to deliver numerous defining performances at Bayern that completely shaped the outcome for him as well as the team.

The 2014 World Cup winner has been a monumental figure in the history of German football and will always be remembered for his exceptional positioning and reading of the game. His leadership skills and immense work-rate always meant that he was a role model for all Die Roten players on the pitch
