Right-back
Starting in the right-back position is Philipp Lahm in our best eleven. Contrary to his diminutive stature, Lahm has a huge list of honors that he won with Bayern, including the famous Treble of 2013. Bayern’s former captain is known for his positional intelligence and passing technique. To complement these technical abilities, he also had the stamina to cover every blade of the grass and regulate the tempo of the game.
Pep Guardiola in the book Pep Confidential, which is written by Marti Perarnau, sighted Lahm as the linchpin for Bayern’s success in his initial phase in Munich due to his versatility. The Spanish coach considers him as one of football’s best players ever. The 2014 FIFA World Cup winner, who also bagged eight league titles, is the best right-back that has ever played for Bayern Munich.
