Goalkeeper

In goal, we select Oliver Kahn as Bayern’s all-time numero uno. The 50-year old, who has recently been appointed to FC Bayern Munchen AG’s Supervisory Board, is expected to take over from Rummenigge as the chairman and CEO at the end of 2021. He played a pivotal part in Bayern’s 2001 Champions League finals as he denied Valencia CF thrice in the penalty shootout ending Die Roten’s 25-year wait for their fourth CL title.

During his time at Bayern Munich, he also added eight Bundesliga titles for the club along with six DFB-Pokals making him one of Bayern’s best goalkeepers ever. As for his personal accolade, the 2002 FIFA World Cup Golden Ball winner won Bundesliga’s best shot-stopper award consecutively from 1997 to 2002.
