Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller is attracting interest from China as he has reportedly received a big offer from an unnamed Chinese club.
The transfer rumors are in full swing as major clubs across Europe are trying to add more quality to their squads. Bayern Munich is expected to make a lot of changes as the club is trying to rebuild the spine of the squad. The club will have to make some tough decision regarding the future of some of the star players in the squad.
There have been major developments over departures at Bayern Munich in last one week. Mats Hummels is likely to be the first casualty of Bayern’s major overhaul this season. The German defender has emerged as a transfer target for Borussia Dortmund.
After Hummels, the club’s vice-captain has received a major offer from China. According to Kicker (via SportBild), an unnamed Chinese club has offered a wage packet off €25 million per year. This report insists that the German forward will surely reject this offer in order to stay at Bayern. Muller believes that he is too young to play in the leagues away from Europe.

Muller has not been at his best for Bayern since the departure of Pep Guardiola in 2016. He still provides a lot of quality in the final third with his movement but his productivity has degraded in the past three seasons. The goals have dried up for him as he ended the last season with only nine goals across all competitions.
The 29-year-old forward faced an uncertain future at Bayern under Carlo Ancelotti. However, after the Italian’s departure, Muller was once again reinstated in the starting lineup by Jupp Heynckes. The German forward also enjoyed a lot of gametime under Niko Kovac due to injuries and form of James Rodriguez.
Muller will be confident about playing a pivotal role next season as James has left the club. The club is also not actively pursuing a replacement for the Colombian midfielder this summer. These are favorable conditions for Muller as he will get a lot of minutes in his favored position.
Bayern Munich should not be looking to sell Muller this summer. The Bundesliga champions have already lost many senior figures this summer. It is important that a player like Muller remains in their short term plans. The player also has no reason to leave Bayern right now. He might consider such type of transfer in a couple of years when Bayern sign a young player in his position.
