Bayern Munich aim to get back to winning ways when they host Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday at the Allianz Arena.

The Bavarians suffered a painful defeat against Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday. They have a mountain to climb when they travel to Madrid for the second leg next week. However, before Bayern Munich head to the Spanish capital, they host Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.

Bayern have already clinched the Bundesliga title. This game doesn’t have significance for the Bavarians, but getting the win is still important. They would like to bounce back in an emphatic way so that they travel to Madrid in good spirits.

The visitors have a lot to play for in the Bundesliga. Niko Kovac would also like to do well, especially in front of his future employer. They are seventh in the Bundesliga table, just one point behind RB Leipzig as they are trying to confirm s European spot for next season.

Bayern Munich endured a lot of injuries against Real Madrid. Arjen Robben lasted only ten minutes against the defending European champions. The Dutchman is set to miss the game against Frankfurt on Saturday. Javi Martinez is also set to sit out of this game due to a minor knock.

Jerome Boateng is not going to play again for Bayern Munich this season as the German defender suffered a muscular injury against Real Madrid. David Alaba has started training with the first team on Thursday, but he is also likely to miss Saturday’s game. Kingsley Coman still remains on the sidelines while Manuel Neuer continues to inch closer to first team action.
